So We shout into the wilderness

Image

The wilderness is hard to avoid, it truly is

It’s life is like lust it calls, it draws like nobody’s biz

Calling, developing the need to exploit, others weakness and trouble

In truth ignoring the lack of attention to ones own rubble

          So

We shout into the wilderness, searching for a comfortable voice to return

We shout into the wilderness, our own voice our own burn

We shout into the wilderness, “Can We Help, Can We serve” but do we know

For the wilderness might return with the request,”Yes help me, I need You so”

Is our bravery enough for this call, can we accept who cries “ yes, help?

Perhaps prejudice, cowardice and a failed humanity cause us to run and yelp

Ask, can we do this because it might not please

This return voice just might be a low life, a sleaze

They might believe in something different, a different call or nothing at all

They might smell, be ugly, look shabby, be to short or tall

For maybe we shouldn’t call into this wilderness, avoid the unseen

Truly the wilderness will reveal just how our souls can be blemished and mean

Pray tell that this wilderness will not smite us so

Let us find hope, and charity and truth, Let us know

Shout into the wilderness, shout I say, Shout “I am here, I am Here”

By Grace and Grace alone our Creator will let us know He is Near

  1. It gave me chills. “Shout into the wilderness, shout I say, Shout “I am here, I am Here”
By Grace and Grace alone our Creator will let us know He is Near. ”
